The tractor doesn't get used much in winter...

First to flower in the plastic house. We have some very consistant tall pale blues. This plant was flowering for 6 weeks - then the side spikes came!
A purple doulbe prepared for pollinating - the anthers have been removed from the lower florets.

White with black bee: these spikes have been cut, taped to bamboo stakes and stuck in the ground to look as if they are growing out of salvia mexicana...
