A clone (cutting grown). Gypsy Queen is a tall purple/blue delphinium with lots of sepals but no “bee” petals. Instead the petals have been converted to anthers, giving something of a interesting pincushion effect in the centre of the flower. The ends of the sepals are quite pointed, giving a frilly appearance to the flowers. Gypsy Queen is a very graceful delphinium, with the flowers being less full in appearance than Delilah or Pagan Purples. This striking plant is long lived. Height is 1.2–1.6 m.
